Fundraising campaign for a Romanian Orthodox parish in Northern UK, aimed at purchasing a church
Holy and Righteous Ancestors of God, Joachim and Anna and Holy Cross Romanian Orthodox Parish in Aberdeen is seeking help in purchasing a church to serve the large community in Northern Scotland.
The total cost of the purchase is £350,000. So far, the community has managed to raise £100,000, and by the end of March 2025, they need to raise the remaining amount of £250,000.
The project is considerably large and will impact the community on multiple levels, as the parish announcement states: ‘Our goal is to have our church and to build a Romanian Community Centre where a Sunday school will operate, along with other activities (reading clubs, sports, chess, arts, and Romanian traditions, etc.).’
Based on the teachings of Holy Apostle Paul, who says: ‘Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver’ (2 Corinthians 9:7), we urge all who love God and one’s neighbour to support this project.
All who wish to contribute to the purchase of the church and the bettering of the spiritual life of the Orthodox Christians in Northern UK can do so by donating through the platform provided by the Aberdeen Parish:
